Coaching the Executive Team -
• Team coaching is an experience magnified by the reflective group dynamic. In Team coaching there is a force of creative power engaged between the Team members.
• Weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly sessions to accentuate performance through effective communication, enhanced trust, and mutual committment and accountability.
The Empower Lab Coaching Method -
Em-power is power from within. Empower Lab is a progressive think tank committed to advancing the art of accessing the power within people. This is done through the Coach Approach. The Coach Approach of accessing the power within is our replacement for the Command Approach that puts power upon. Accessing the power within (empowering) will yield peak performance because it is voluntarily sourcing what a person or team is able to provide. Putting power upon (commanding) is involuntarily forcing what a person or team is willing to provide.
The Coach Approach to empowerment is through Empower Lab's six I's:
Inquire ·
Ask questions. Ask questions. Ask questions.
Deep, probing, open ended questions.
Our truth is 3D – usually buried at least three questions/answers deep
Interrupt ·
Interrupt the status quo – the current perceptions, thinking, paradigms, and truths to create an opening for getting to something NEW and powerful.
Rattle the cage until the cage is fully visible in order to breakthrough to the NEXT level.
Insight ·
Inquire further into the opening of consciousness for insight as to what is possible and even impossible (Discover)
Inspire ·
Through still further inquiry connect the insights to the desired outcomes (Commit)
Invent ·
Create an excellent action plan (Declare)
Initiate ·
Take action (Engage)
The Coach Approach is combined with accountability. The accountability is primarily to the self although to others as well. This comes in the form of a By When: __/__/__ commitment for each self generated action.
We typically engage with our coaching clients on a monthly retainer basis for 6-12 month time periods.
